I might be interested - has anyone fit these in the center tunnel? I was able to get a 3 quart one there on my 987S.

Did you decide to go with a remote oil filter?

I'm debating if a shorty oil filter under the LN adapter then sandwich plate will work.
I also want to install it in the tunnel, since I don't like the trunk location generating heat in there...

There is a guy on youtube that did it on his 987 (tunnel mount).

If you have the later 986 with the fuel filter in the tank and not in the tunnel then yes.

Darn, I have the early version - just changed the fuel filter a few weeks ago.

There still might be room to sneak in the 2 qt version ahead of the fuel filter, toward the front of the car. But it has been several years since I did my fuel filter so I don't remember how much space was there...
