Rear speaker kit
New in box rear speaker kit for 1997-2008 Porsche 986 987 Boxster Factory Fit Rear Speaker Kit
Brand new still in box with all parts and installation instructions. Compare at $285 on Amazon. I purchased this kit from a forum member and they are new. I just have decided that I do not want to install them. Front speakers are sufficient.
$200 shipped to lower 48.

That's a great deal!!
I would snag it if I didn't already have rear speakers

FYI......adding rear speakers really rounds out the sound, creating a nice place to be audio-wise. Front speakers alone are not "sufficient". Why settle.

This kit is especially cool if you have M490 option, subwoofers in doors.
It gives you chance to install a 911 6-channel amp, which will bring the subwoofers alive. For some unknown reason the original Boxster amp seems to hold back the potential that's already there.

I changed out the factory speakers in the dash and doors and added 6 speakers to the rear deck. Changed out the amp to a 996 Cabrio 6 channel unit. Made a world of difference and I have an aftermarket exhaust. Well worth the effort.

Is your rear speaker kit still available? Is it the OE kit Porsche used to offer, or what brand? How old is it?

If it is sold, you can make your own fairly easily, although the kit is the easiest. You can get the brackets off eBay for about $100 and then you can get any speakers you want, a little speaker wire....and a dremmel.
