anybody cutting up a boxster shell

Hi there,
anbody out there chopping up a 986 shell? Im after the lower front section of the right hand quarter, I am in Australia so as long as you can take paypal and are able to take to the post office I can chase up postage quotes as long as you give me the postcode and dimension/weight,
the wreckers over here want to sell me the whole side for more than the cars worth haha so I'm looking for the cheapest option, I only need the outer skin as per the pic below,
cheers Russ...http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1463988176.jpg

Get with Woody itsnotanova on here. He breaks lots of Boxsters.

I couldn't help but notice that your picture looks a lot like what I have sitting beside my garage. I expect that Woody will be able to take care of you and I would rather not deal with international shipping...
But, I can make it happen if you don't find another source.

thanks guys, not sure Woody is keen on shipping large panels, Im sure he will chime in, Ive bought small stuff from him, some of his wrecks look better than my boxster project haha

My plasma cutter crapped out on me over the weekend so I won't be able to help you right now. Sorry.

'Im not in a huge rush but I wouldn't mind getting this part,
rough estimate on USPS shipping $120 using there calculator,
78F350 hit me up for a price if your keen,
like I said no rush,
only needs to be cut 2 inches into the door threshold/pillar,
even the bottom lip where its spot welded can be cut instead of drilling spot welds,
I will just weld on another lip,
try and make it as simple as possible haha
Cheers Russ...

We can sort out the price and shipping cost later, but first I want to verify what you need. Here are some pictures with marking of where I am thinking of cutting. I have a reciprocating saw that will cut a little rough, but I can put it on a trailer and take it to a shop if you need a cleaner edge. Let me know where to adjust. Keep in mind that I am not a pro and it's going to be best to have extra rather than cut short.

that would be more than perfect,
exactly where I need it cut,
doesnt have to be neat, even if it looks like its been chewed off by a rat haha
sawzall is the go, I never understood what the thing was about sawzall/recip saws until I bought one, they seem very popular in the US but have never been big in Australia, I guess we like to do things the hard way...

the top line near the vent just cut to the vent hole (orange line is fine)

I have it cut. Hopefully your skill and tools can compensate for my skill and tools. As discussed in the pm, I will require a round trip ticket to Australia and a minimum of 3 nights at a beachfront resort to deliver that part.

I deviated from the original plan and cut the inner fender wall at about the midpoint to roughly match the depth of the front cut.
