WTB Lug nuts for 2004 Boxster S

Went to take rear wheels off today (so I could change spark plugs) only to realize one of the wheels in back has a locking lug nut - and I do not have a key.

I read elsewhere on this forum its possible to use a socket, bang it on and then get the locking lug off.

I am gong to try that, however I need to replace it with a standard lug nut that will fit. So looking for a few - one to use now and a few as backups.

I got some spares from amazon, Febi brand, amazon prime shipping.

I've got 4 locking lug bolts and socket key, yours if you want them, for shipping cost ($12'ish)

Steve

To clarify, sorry, I am not looking for locking lugs to replace the one I need to remove - just regular, non locking, standard porsche lug nuts.

Thanks

Contact Woody (Itsnotanova) I bought enough from him that I was able to repaint and change the old crappy ones that were on my car.

I don't blame you, the reason I have my 4 is that I removed them and replaced with non-locking :)

Sent you a PM regarding the lug nuts.

Thanks, I thought he would just see this post but your right so I posted on his main issue (parting out a whole lot of boxsters).

I have purchased stuff from his before.

I had the same problem. I ended up going to the dealership to have the locking lug taken off. I then bought 4 non-locking ones at an outrageous price but it was worth it.

The Boxster doesn't have any lug nuts, so you may have some trouble finding them. :p

Where are you in MA?

I lost the key to my wheel locks so I brought it into Porsche Norwell and they had the right key in their shop set to pull them off.

You might be able to do the socket trick if they are the correct shape, but I'd be careful... the female threads are part of the wheel bearing carrier and you don't want to damage that over an annoying wheel lock.

Sorry if you were waiting for me to say something. I normally won't reply to "WTB" threads because I don't won't to come off as pushy. I have four lug bolts for $20 shipped, $2.50 each additional bolt.
Thx Woody
