FS: Boxster Hardtop
In response to some questions about this item I have updated this ad to show additional detail.
This originally factory Boxster hardtop has been slightly modified to work as a Spec Boxster hardtop but could be restored to streetable shape with a little work and the addition of a headliner. Or use it as a Spec Boxster top yourself. It retains the original glass window with defroster circuit! (glass is easy to clean, maintain and keep scratch free at the cost of perhaps a pound [or so I'm told]). Color is one of the Porsche dark blues of the era. Top is on the peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area. Price is $600 as is, where is. Two surface flaws:

You can see the handle was trimmed slightly to accommodate my safety cage but it's still perfectly functional. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1368148066.jpg This last photo shows the portion of the roof structure that was cut away to make room for the safety cage. There is a similar cut on the driver's side. This is by no means the full extent of what can be removed to make a Spec Boxster top; in fact it's probably the minimum. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1368148091.jpg |

Midfan,
PM Sent Thanks, Adam |
The top is sold. (Headliner still available) Thank you.
What's the etiquette for posts of sold items? Delete them? (is that even possible?) Edit them to say sold so they don't move up? |
