What would this do to your shifting? Will this tighten up the side by side/loose feeling of my shifter? 03 boxster s

The original is plastic. So, my guess is...it'll not leave you stranded with no way to put the car into gear.

I doubt it will tighten the side to side feel, more front to back. If you have a short shifter installed, you can tighten the side to side clearance but the original part is not adjustable.
