Wanted, front license plate holder

I know many of you remove the front plate holder from your Boxster for an improved look. I just purchased a 2003 Boxster and it is missing the front plate holder. Speaking from experience with my previous cars, the police in my town will ticket me if they do not see a front plate on the car. If any of you have your front plate holder lying around, I would be glad to purchase it.

One thing to note about the dealer kit... the screws that come with it don't have enough girth to keep the bracket on the bumper. You'll have to shop for thicker ones, which was not an easy thing for me to do.

I finally found thicker screws, and then I was walking around my car the other day in the garage and yanked it off with the pantleg of my jeans. I'm leaving mine off until my next long road trip. Grrr.

Oh yeah, bought mine from Sunset as it was half price of my local dealer, including shipping and handling.

Hey Randall, no problem, just keep your plate & bracket in your front trunk. If a cop ever questions you, just tell him what happened, and you are waiting for some "rare" replacement part from Germany, that is currently on back-order!

Maybe you won't get a ticket, and improve the "look" of your car's front end.

If your plate has some dings, scratches and dead bug splatter...all the more plausible to the cop.
