Yep, the m96 3.6L x51 is probably 330rwhp with a wide flat torque curve. Roughly 100 ftlb more tq than a stock Box S. A lot of motor. This is what Jake said a while ago:

A few other smaller details. Roughly good for 25 RWHP on my dynojet.
I take these to 3.8 liters, do more head work, alter cam timing and throw a few tricks to them and 350 RWHP is common.

Trust me a 3.6 motor in a Boxster is amazing.

997 owners can't believe they are being passed by what appears to be a 2.5 Boxster

Agreed, perhaps a test drive in a 3.6 997 would help. I believe an early Boxster with a 3.6 is lighter than an 997 so the Boxster has an advantage.

It's all about torque when it comes to SOP dyno runs. The 3.6 has 295 lbft.

Pure guesstimation.
I have seen dyno runs on the 3.6X51 on Rennlist and with stock headers and stock tune they typically produced 295 ft/lbs (roughly 100 more than a stock 2001 Box S) with varying hp. Some were 305-307rwhp, some were more. I remember this build and I believe Todd had custom headers and custom tune which further improved performance. I will allow Todd to speak for himself regarding exact HP output on his motor because I really don't know.
