need passenger wind deflector

i'm selling my 01 boxster S and someone noticed the passenger windscreen is missing. the black insert that goes into the rollbar. i have the drivers side and the center plexi piece. i don't know what happened to the missing one!!

the only replacement option i've found so far is the entire wind kit with all 3 pieces. if anyone has one for sale or knows another place to buy just that one piece i'd appreciate it!

also i could use a replacement ashtray lid mechanism, a black drivers side floormat and a visor light replacement. the cover for my visor light broke off. thanks!

I needed one a while back and found they are hard to find. Check nationally on craigslist.net (that's where I found mine), and Ebay. There's a pair of them available on Ebay now for around $100. Good luck. Also since you're selling it, let the buyer arrange a replacement (remove the driver's side).

parts to prep for sale

I bought the windscreen for 150 from a dealer. Subsequently have had good luck from d.c. auto (complete visior 50 bucks ) as well as pelican parts for many other items. The venues that were previosly mentioned are a great start, Im sure if you dig a little deeper you'll find everything at a reasonable price , not 150 bucks for the screen. good luck

I purchased my vehicle without both windscreen. How much of a difference in wind does it make?

honestly, very little in my opinion. but others say a huge difference.

i've had both, with and without. been without for over a year.

I've been driving with and without trying to decide what I like as well. I have found that the AMOUNT of wind isn't terribly different. It is slightly less with the windscreen, but still windy with the top down -- no surprises there. What I do notice is that the wind NOISE is very much less. I don't need to turn up the radio nearly as much, or talking with a passenger is much easier. Just my experience -- others may disagree.
