Zeintec
I hope not, because I have an order in that they accepted and I paid for. I still have not received it and Andreas Zeinecke is still boasting new products on his Facebook Page.

I heard the same thing about Zeintec so I would check with them (if you can get through) and secure either your money or top QUICK.

Z-Art automotive are located in Switzerland and now on the way to relocate in St. Paul Alberta/Canada.
Andreas Zeinecke is the Inventor for that top only.
Z-Art are produce tops for Boxster in Cayman look but on a different way (all hand made from a mofied OEM Boxster top) fits much better, no big gaps, no noise,

Separate companies from the same family? There was a post in Renntech about you two being related, and Z-Art being a distributor for Zeintec?

I did read that post in Renntech correctly. One post said your company was not connected to Zeintec, and run a good company even though you were family related. Another post said you were distributor:
"As the general sales agency of the company Zeintec Suisse automotive, Z-Art is responsible for Switzerland, Austria and the Middle East. This company supplies a hard top for all Porsche Boxster models. The Zeintop, whose contours are reminiscent of the new Cayman, is equipped with a tailgate and supplied with a complete respray. The hard top is now available for ordering at a price of 3,980 euros net."

That was in mind of Z-Art and we was already adverising as new distributor.
But suddenly a big change by Zeintec..............
Z-Art never receive a sellable hardtop from them.
The 2nd. post said we are distributor look at this link (middle of 2006)

I purchased a Zeintec top a few years ago for my seal grey 03 Boxster. It is a beauty when installed. Looks like a Cayman. Cayman in the winter, Boxster in the summer. Some difficulties with installation but this would be more manageable by someone handy with tools. Colour match to seal grey was very good. So my experience has been ok. Rob

986 Zeintop
I have a Seal Gray Zeintop from my 2002 that I might be willing to part with for the right price. I am thinking of selling the car with the top on it but for the right offer I might be willing to sell it separately.

I am selling my Arctic Silver Boxster fitted with Zeintop. I would prefer to sell them together, but will consider offers for the top.

About Andreas Zeinecke
Dear all I need some urgent feedback on this Andreas guy, same feedback as the above poster, I saw his ads on his facebook page and decided to purchase some 997 turbo vents conversions from him for 986s. Till now it's more than 1 month (since 19th Oct 2010) since I paid him via paypal and he has not sent the items and gave lots of different reasons and excuses while promising to send it on several occasions.

yeah, i can't figure these z-art guys out. i research them on the 'net and no website, just a facebook presence (which they DO keep updated, so they are still in business) but they have both a 'z-art' and a 'z- art' page (spot the difference). none of the phone numbers or email addresses on either page work or solicit a response. some info says they are in alberta, other that they are in cali. they say that the tops are available, but only have prototype images up (which look cool and are made from a metal oem hardtop with a different quarter window treatment than the zeintop) but intersperse these images with photos of the old zeintops, so no definitive info on their product.
weird. either they are selling vapourware and are on the scam, or really don't want to stay in business long.

ps, regarding extrememotorcars, check out this post:
linky
according to page 2 they've been 'waiting for glass' since last july, so don't hold your breath; they only photos they have are of the original zeintop they are looking to copy. according to page 3 they also have plans to copy the dmoris top, put the picture is of the zeintop installed without the rear hatch. more vapourware.
