gauge faces

i have never posted here but i have watched this sight alot.so i feel like i already know alot of you.i own a porsche boxster 99 model.lot of custom upgrades. i also own a mercedes 230 k custom. the reason for this post is i have invented a product to sell for the boxsters.i can make any gauge face with any color configuation.ex.silver face blue numbers that glow blue or green face with purple numbers glowing purple.any 2 color confi. i also change the font of the numbers and even add something custom like a word that will backlit glow like boxster, ruf, gemballa and so on even your name. i have prototyped 1 for mine and it is successfull. iwill post pics soon.if interested call me at 910-527-5137. chris

Could you just change to color from black with white numbers, to whit with black numbers? I do not know it I want to do that or just buy new gauges. If I get new gauges would I have to reset the milage?

Peter: Gauge face replacement will not change your mileage on your Boxster if you use the same cluster and don't drive the car without the cluster plugged in.

I've never changed the faces, but I had my cluster replaced and thought of doing it myself but it needed dealer programming so I had them do it.

ToolPants does it all the time though and says it's just two screws (small speaker cover on left, an one screw behind the emergency flasher on the right) to get the cluster off the dash.

I have my old cluster in the garage and I just might tear it down to see how one can change the gauges out. I know renntech.org has some pictorial posts on how to do it.

Chris: How much are you planning to charge for these replacement faces?

149.99 plus shipping you got mail lol. they are so easy to install.i tore my whole car apart so i am rebuiling it now i will post pics soon.but these are simple once you open your gauge just use a plastic fork to remove your orange needles by going under them gently pry up remember the locations though then just pull faces off.they are on by contact cement.the originals and my version both have alignment holes so there are only one way to go on.bvery simple to do thankx. chris

I have the aluminium instrument dials, however I swear they look more white than aluminium.

Can you make the gauges to read in kilometres as well as mph? I live in Canada so this is kind of important, but congragulations on what appears to be a fine product!
