I know I should not answer a question with a question.... BUT...
You want to know how I managed to get a Boxster down to 1,980lbs?
I live by this: "Does it weigh more than zero?" (the studs weigh more than zero)... get rid of them!! If you are serious about the diet.. remove every other bolt holding down the front fenders
