nobody here mentions Donald Trump

I know this list has a lot of Republicans. What do you have to say about your candidate?

One of the really nice things about this forum is that it is remarkably free of politics. It'd be great if it stayed that way.

This entire election cycle is a clown show. The less said about it, the better.

Let's not bring politics on this forum. The spam lately is bad enough.

Ugh, agreed! The gun posts get enough action, let's not bring anymore politics into this place.

It can be a great way to lose friends.

I have dual citizenship so Germany/European Union is always an option. Don't think it will come to that.

It really is the best way to transport milk. I don't know why this hasn't been adopted in the US yet.

A wall through the great lakes will be very inconvenient for fish.

Might be a good way of keeping the US's polluted water on their side of the lake.

"Will that be a US grade salmon or Canadian grade salmon that you'd like sir?"

Not many republicans would identify him as their candidate. He won primaries and the general due to votes from blue union workers.

Things will turn out fine though, checks and balances, we've had plenty of bad presidents before and we will have plenty of bad ones in the future.

My 3-greats grandfather moved his family from New York state to Hamilton, Ontario, proving that at least some of my ancestors were smarter than average. Unfortunately, his son moved back, proving that intelligence is not inherited.

After the American Revolution a good number of northern colony people chose to stay with the British and moved to Upper Canada, now Ontario, and were called United Empire Loyalists. Sounds like your great, great, great, grandaddy might have been one of them.

As time went by the people south of the 49th became our friends (thank god) and now lots of people choose to go back and/or come up here.

We have a lot more in common than we do differences even though some differences are pretty dramatic. Like why you guys like white gravy on biscuits or weak beer and we like milk in bags (when in Ontario) and Bloody Caesers.

Into Quebec, maybe. Parlez-vous français?

You should see how the folks look at me at a Denny's when I ask for white gravy on my fries, but boy is that tasty.

And in Holland, mayonnaise on your fries is delicious and standard rather than ketsup.

Still longing for a Tim Hortons Donuts to open up here on the West Coast, makes Krispy Creme seem like fried leftovers in old oil.

Diversity is a good thing.
