Top Gear Boxster S vs. BMW Z4 M Roadster
 

From top gear May 28, 2006 episode. It's mainly a review of the Z4 but they use the Boxster S as the benchmark.

I drove a Z4 //M roadster yesterday, and was pretty impressed with the way it drove and handled. However, I still don't like the front of the car, and styling is an important aspect for me too. I hope BMW redesigns the front of the car in the coming model years. It looks like one of the stupid sharks in Shark Tale or Finding Nemo. I would still go for the Box S because of the styling and performance in the twisties.

That right there just about sums up BWM's new styling for all their cars. I used to like the 3 and 5 series...

no sound here at work, can someone tell me how the clown-shoe did against the Box?

I too have an issue with the looks of the 4.

I had a Z3 that was really fine to look at and drive nicely too!

The Z3 was also a fairly priced car.

What the heck were they thinking when they redesigned the Z3? That was a great looking car. Kind of reminded me of a TR-6 in that it seemed very muscular. I want to like the Z4. But I just can't get past those incredibly strange swoops, cuts, and creases.

Me too! I get a headache just looking at it.
