Oh dude, you do NOT want to drive to Houston from Hell Paso if you don't absolutely have to do it. I drove there last summer from Houston and almost died of boredom... and my butt fell asleep too.

I'd drive 2 hours LESS if I were you and enjoy a San Diego beach. Yes, it's 2 hours shorter to drive to San Diego from Hell Paso than it is to drive to Houston.

Texas is big. Too dadgum big if you ask me!

Sweet, this has become a Texans only thread! There's not too much for me down in Houston... I used to have a girlfriend that lived down that way (Conroe), but ever since she departed... eh. But if, or when, I need to visits America's Sauna, I'll let both you guys know.

It'd be cool if we had a Boxster friend in Amarillo... that way we could represent all 4 corners of Tejas! Yee haaa <<pointing pistols to the sky and shooting wrecklessly>>
