Seems like a waste of money to me. You could hop up a corvette or Mustang GT and do that for a LOT less cash.

I must say though that I'd love to own that car in a hardtop version. Boy would I get into a lot of trouble.

10.8 at 129 mph....not bad. A new ZR1 can do that off the showroom floor with a warranty on it. Or like you said you could hop up any old car and do it for a lot less money but then again it wouldn't be a 10 sec P-car anymore. To each his own.

1.6 60' on street tires - gotta love AWD

Mr. Hennessy has had a very bad reputation for screwing customers, including selling parts he is removing/replacing from customer vehicles and pocketing the cash.

Haven't heard much of this lately, though.
