I can't stand the newest first ordering of threads

I can't stand the newest first ordering of threads...I know that it's designed for people to be able to see the latest replies first, but makes it extremely annoying for people new to the topic and to the 986 forum to follow. It makes us feel lost and unwelcome, so much so that I have been spending more time on other boxster forums for this sole reason.

Please have an option for view threads in order of posting. So first post first. Thank you.

Ctrip, you can change this and customize to your liking. Just read through the FAQ section.

There isn't an option for newest first or oldest first.

Only:

Linear
Threaded
Hybrid

Hey whats up Johnny, glad to see you here on 986forum... I can understand your frustration with the ordering, reading newest to oldest is really weird to me too.

Anyhow, luckily this forum has the option to change it to 'oldest to newest'. Perhaps your browser, or something else is limiting what options are presented, but I went ahead and took a screenshot for you, so you can see what we see:

here it is...

Click on "Private Messages", then "Edit Options"

Scroll down to "Thread Display Options"

Change "Thread Display Mode" to "Linear - Oldest First"

Hope this helps...

Nick
