Au >>> Ag

I've been slowly but surely changing the gold bits on my car to silver. Not because I don't like the gold, I just think the silver works better with my colors, and is a little more subtle.

I first changed my gold center caps.

Next I switched my hood crest.

And today I changed the last gold piece, the airbag, to silver.

If anyone with grey interior plans on updating to a 3-spoke wheel my gold-crested airbag is for sale. I bought it new and installed it during June 2006, and put 2,379 on the car during this time. It is like new. It isn't uncommon to see grey 3-spoke wheels for sale on ebay for good prices. Send me a PM if interested. Otherwise I will list the airbag on ebay.

Thanks,

ddb

Nice color adjustments on the car. Definitely a thumbsup on those.

Keep the pics coming if you make any other changes

nice man, the steering wheels badge really pulls it off.

i personally think you should put some red on the centercaps, it will match the calipers as well.

Nice clean look..
I like the silver badge on the hood but I prefer gold crest on the wheels and on the steering wheel.

DDB, did you have the wheels painted, or did it come that way. They lookl seal grey, in the second pic, and black in the first. I was thinking about painting mine as well. If so, how much did it cost, paint or powder coat?

986speedster,

I had them powder-coated. The cost was $450. The look changes depending on the light. In bright sunlight they look grey; other times they look black; and sometimes they look dark blue. The base color is black and there's a grey top-coat that created the changing look.

The finish has proven to be very durable. I don't know what is costs to have a set painted, but I would go with the powder if at all possible.

I see in your signature you have a silver carbon fiber interior. Did you install it or did it come that way? Any pictures? I'm curious what the silver CF looks like. I have a few CF interior pieces from Porsche. I like the look but the pieces are pricey.

I bought the kit online, and it looks great. I will post some pics soon. I was going to go with regular carbon fiber, but being my car is triple black, I wanted to break it up alittle.
