Nice!

Have you received any confusing looks yet? I guess the average passerby wouldn't notice the differences. It may be fun when it comes time to see the dealer or service center....

That looks amazing! Great job...I really like the hard top too. Is that a permanent fixture or will you take it off in the spring?

kabel 01-28-2007 04:58 PM

Nicely done Jeph! How about some pics wiht the to down next ;)

I predict oncoming 911 drivers will be more likely to wave at me. (SUCKERS! I'm merely driving a cheapo BOXSTER!)

Honestly, from the front at least, I'd wager it draws more stares. It's noticeably, yet subtly different even to untrained eyes. I have yet to encounter a fellow Boxster driver, as I probably haven't even put on 100 miles since its completion.

The hardtop stays on probably 9 months of the year (unless a female requests its removal -rare with my lackluster dating schedule). Summer is blazing and winter is too inconsistent. I love the looks of the hard top and the anonymity it + tinted windows provide for me. The following are good shots of my window tint:

But there are days where keeping the hardtop on is ridiculous, and I act accordingly. Next time it comes off I will be sure to post pictures of it. Or if the weather is ok sometime this week, I'll do it just for you guys (awwww).

very nice man, veryyy nice

The car just looks amazing! It makes me want to attack and kill the next innocent, unsuspecting valet stand I come across.

Impeccable choices throughout, Jeph.

Thanks for the compliments Grizz. But that valet stand wasn't so innocent... it had it coming. It taunted The Silver Lining (nee Foxy Boxy) and paid the ultimate price.

Looks great man! I think it would be a crime to not put some sideskirts on it though after all you put into it.

Then it's a crime I'm willing to commit. Check out the lines! They're PERFECT on the car right now. Skirts would utterly disrupt them!

Between classy and (pseudo-)sporty*, I'd prefer to skew towards the former of the two.

*Please don't take offence skirt wearers, it's just referring to an agressive appearance as opposed to function.

That box just gets better looking each time I see it.

There's no doubt it already looks good and very classy. I just think some skirts would match up well and give it a nice aggressive look. Either way you go it's still a nice unique look.

Nice job!

Jeph, looks fantastic! Clean, tight, proportional -- just beautiful. I don't like skirts in general, but especially in your case I agree that they would only damage the look.

Nice job Jeph, the car looks great but you let your guard down and left your license plate numbers exposed in the pics !!!!....

Now I'm going to come down to North Texas and...do whatever it is that people do to people that leave their license plate numbers exposed in internet pics!!!

So you have that to look forward to.

If you post top-down pics, can you do one with the windows rolled up? I don't think I've ever seen a convertible with dark tinted side windows and the top down. Although if the wind-deflector was dark tinted, that might look interesting.

boggtown 02-06-2007 06:26 PM

You coulda saved yourself thousands with this little mod.

HAHAHA, lol, but for real, you did it right.

djomlas 02-06-2007 08:08 PM

i just hate it when people post pics of convertible tops off and windows up, looks too funny

Jeph, beautiful clean job. The more I see of those wheels the more I want a set. Now get the bumperettes painted body color but think long and hard about adding skirts as the car looks totally class A right now.

Also the size of your photos are just right. I can see them right away and don't have to wait 20min for a download. The clarity is outstanding.
