Stuttgart License Plate - $44

My former roommate drove a VW Touareg and I noticed that she had a "euro" license plate replica on the front. She had it made with the same letters/numbers as her California plate to stick on the front bumper. I recently bought one for my 986 with the same letters/numbers as my CA plate through this website. $44 includes the custom plate and a universal mount (less without the mount), and you can make it read whatever you want.

Of course this isn't legal, and you may not think it looks good, but I thought it was a cool way to give Stuttgart a little shout-out way over here in LA (especially since the Porsche logo includes the Stuttgart crest, which is in a decal on the replica plate). I'll post some pics once it arrives and I screw it on.

Nice idea and good looking.

I just wonder if in a dual-plate state like we live in this would draw more or less attention to the lack of a front (official) plate. I've managed to go almost two years without receiving any sort of front-plate citation (knock on wood) and would hate to break the streak due to an attention catching replica. Maybe an officer would give a break if the numbers matched.

I refuse to run with a front plate........at least until I get my first ticket! :(

I have the same concern (about attracting more attention). I also like the look of no plate, but I'm trying to cover up the holes up front. Do you guys use bumper plugs for those holes?

Never had a front plate on 'er yet, so no holes, my friend! I told the dealership, prior to delivery, "NO FRONT PLATE, or the car is yours"!

I hear the www.bumperplugs work great. I think this would be your better solution.

I bought one exactly what you posted but personalized the last 4 numbers w/ universal mount front plate for my Porsche and I duct tape it to see if it looks good but....NOPE! I end up putting it in my Benz' :D
