how far can you take a 986 rebuild

hi all, at present I'm having my boxster s totally re built and modified to the max with ruf 3.8 911 engine modified again with wossner pistons pauter conrods, gt3 throttle body and a host of other goodies at present I'm waiting for the capristo valvetronic full exhaust system to be made in Germany hopfully reports are that it should kick out around 420bhp I have also found a suitable uk reg R5 BOX should be if everything goes to plan on the road this autumn 2017 cant wait to take her out its been along hard and expensive road kind regards jon u.k.

That's a major project, i suppose the only thing to add after that would be a few turbos.

Please post some pics or info of the build if possible, whats the intended use? Road, track, show?

hi guys, we looked at that option turbos and supercharge but the guys at performance Porsche here in uk said the best bet was stay aspirated so we have also uprated the clutch and rebuilt the gear box we have even uprated the fuel pump and put in larger fuel lines for petrol demand will be higher I love the boxster its a amazing piece of kit so I decided to have built the best boxster I could afford its that mid-engine that gives it that awesome qualities will try and keep you updated as things progress regards jon uk.

RUF 3.8 or just a 3.8 swap like a RUF 3800S?

I have a 3.8 M96 in mine from a re-sleeved/up-bored 911. I get 300 whp. It's fun.
