No one owns a 2003 or 2004 Boxster on this Forum i guess. :(
|
One more Bump before I go :D

i understand your eagerness, but a little patience please. 4 posts in one night? do you have a life beyond your car?
i'm being hypocritical because i went on a 3 hour drive to nowhere just because the weather was great. i have an '03 S, and i'll see if i can get some pics on tomorrow evening |

pics with the top down please?! I can see you have body matched rool hoops. nice. red interior, you are obviously a very classy dude. random unrelated front end pic of white P-car GT3 front bumper with RS intake holes http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...15_82_full.jpg |

As much as I like the 03-04 front bumper cover update, I've been drooling over that GT-3 front end with the RS vents. |
slow with the pics
I apoligize for being slow with the pics. Been busy. Union workers at the job are on strike, which means longers for me, and this d*%$ thesis is due in 3 weeks.
here are 2 more been de-ambered all around since these |
very nice. Yes the GT3 bumper gives the car a longer wider look. But then you need side skirts too. Expensive but a total transformation.
some more random white pics(Gemballa) http://www.qsm.com.au/cars/986TT_8598_500.jpg http://www.qsm.com.au/cars/986TT_8506_500.jpg |
Pictures finally here
Finally done with puttin on the 2004 rear bumper. I still need to make minor adjustments to the trunk and wing for perfect fit but i just wanted to let you guys see how it looks soo far....
P.S. If anyone has an idea of how to make the spoiler and the bumper fit better together i would love to hear it. If i can't figure it out ill have Beverly Hills Porsche take a look at it for me. Thanks. James |
Will the defusser eventually have screens or something in the openings? Looks good so far.

The diffusers already have retaining strips around them, so no theres nothing else going in there. That part of the bumper is done. My only issue is with the stupid spoiler.... |
I just sold my 03 S .....but here are some photos for you

wow looks 100% factory. Total transformation. But what happened to the trunk Badge? that area around the the tail pipes might look nice with a carbon or mesh shroud of some kind and machined rings around each tail pipe like the kind that go around this Gemballa exhaust http://gemballa.com/Images1/986/Kfz/...tr_si_b_11.jpg http://gemballa.com/Images1/986/Kfz/...tr_si_b_12.jpg |

I took off the trunk badge i like the clean look. I was thinking about a 986 Badge or a 3600S badge. |

It does not line up perfectly yet. I am real anal about fitment of parts. The entire project cost me about $1300. This includes all the changes that needed to be made for the bumper to sit right. |
$1300 well worth it, especially if you had to replace the bumper anyway.
I always wondered how a simple PORSCHE badge would look on the Box on the bumper instead of the trunk lid, like on the 928. |

Could you list the stuff(part no. & such) that needed to be changed out to get the bumper and rear spoiler to fit properly? |
Do the 04's not have bumperettes?
|
The US-spec do. James had the Euro-spec bumper installed.
http://986forum.com/forums/members/der-geist.html Der Geist Box has the factory US-spec bumper. |
That is a Hot car Q hope you replaced it with something crazy.
I prefer the 03 rear bumper, but would keep the 996 front bumper |
