Scenic Hwy 1 drive

Beautiful drive along the coast today! Nacimiento Ferguson rd, to Hwy 1 through Big Sur and to Carmel for lunch and back. Had to take a couple pictures.

Is that the famous Bixby Bridge that I see in the background. I know the area from Carmel to Moro Bay quite well, heading that way myself this Thursday.

You're right for a Saturday. Vacation travelers winding down with school back on.

Nothing quite that famous. I was past the slide repair headed South, I think that may have been the Lime Kiln bridge. Enjoy the weekday drive should be even less traffic than my trip. Also a tip for anyone contemplating this trip, the next month or so is one of the best times to make the drive. Fog is rare and winds are light, views are forever.

Bixby bridge

Here's the Bixby Bridge. From a vacation 5 years ago. Alas, I had no Box then. Only a Kia rental

Looks like you had good weather though! The drive makes even a KIA feel good. The road is always changing though. This photo is of the new slide repair. Kind of an inverted bridge :roll eyes: Sounds cool when passing through.

Hwy 1 is an amazing drive. This one's headed south from Ragged Point Inn, next stop Elephant Seals on the beach

Nacimiento Fergusson is nuts on four wheels as a passenger. Saw puke on the road on the west side. Wouldn’t mind it so much on two wheels.
