Looks great, I like the blue top on silver much better than the black top. Was the original blue also?

arcticnorth 06-21-2006 01:26 PM

thank you and yes my original top was blue.the shop that instaled it actually had a black one in stock, but i had him order me a blue one to keep my original color combo.

Articnorth, your car looks great! Have you thought about having your bumperettes painted?

bmussatti 06-21-2006 02:06 PM

I really like that white car in the background of the last picture too. Is that Bondo?

bmussatti 06-21-2006 02:08 PM

You can get your bumperettes painted by www.bumperplugs.com for $295/pair. FYI.

arcticnorth 06-21-2006 02:14 PM

painted bumperettes would be nice.i guess that will be my winter project.thanks for brainwashing me into that..my wife will kill me now.she thinks im more in love with the car than her.
oh and the white car is a special edition 2006 caddilac sts.only available in canada.sorry guys.

It'll look even better when you tint the back window to match your others (I wish I could tint my plastic). I do like the blue top with the silver!

Hey ArcticNorth,

The car looks awesome! The lowered stance makes all the difference. I'm jealous. I've been strictly prohibited from lowering ours. The new top is sweet! I may use our pitiful rear window as an excuse to buy a Gahh top as well. We'll probably stay with black, though.

Looks great...thanks for the new pics.

This is so wrong, but I've actually thought of accidentally folding my top wrong (no chopping whatsoever and repeatedly) or dropping something sharp on it to mess it up enough to justify the new GAHH glass window top I've wanted for over a year now.

Someone please tell me I'm not a bad person.

Grizzly 06-21-2006 05:46 PM

You're not a bad person.

99Boxster 06-21-2006 05:47 PM

Well...if it were "accidentally" damaged would it be covered by your insurance? Of course, I wouldn't try claiming that someone tore through the plastic and stole your brand new set of golf clubs and plasma television.

Grizzly 06-21-2006 06:19 PM

Filing a false insurance claim might make you a bad person. :(

Insurance covered my top (pun not intended) because I did the chop. Had I let it take its course and spit sans chop, it would have been a mechanical malfunction, thus not covered. I love technicalities (sometimes).

Love that silver/blue combo. I currently have the silver/black top. Will replace it soon with the Gahh's top.

BTW, silver bumperrettes will definitely improve your the look of your box.
