fender flares??
looking for opinions here, i have a 1998 boxster that's white with black rims and i love the car to death. i've always been really into the look of the older 911's and the wide body kits and i have found fenders from 2"-4" and i was wondering if anyone had any opinions on how they would look on my car, i would complete the project with "necessary" things to finish the look like wheel spacers and lowered suspension etc. if anyone has any examples of them on a boxster i'd love to see pictures (if you think it's a bad idea/ would look bad, please include why)

Porsche Boxster T-Sport Duraflex Widebody

Opinion? The Boxster is a light, agile beast - the fender flares make it look very heavy and stiff.
I think Porsche got it right with the design as it is. Too much body kit = too heavy looking. IMO |
[QUOTE=Robbe986;524159]Am customizing my boxster with this Japan style fenders and other stuff.
A Lot of work left to get it smooth and top quality. Missing 40mm spacers in front on buildpics, 235/30-19 and 315/25-19 wheels Looks much better in reality, if u like wide custom Porsches :-) I like the RWB style so a build myself a RWB Boxster :-) I'm a big fan of RWB style too and your Boxster is looking bang on RWB style to me! |
i like a lot. nothing inexpensive out there to widen a boxster currently. a solution like this that uses generic flares is right on the money - excellent for a track application. and really nailing the RWB look as well. needs zeintop.

Interesting images I came across on a Japanese site... http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1486155063.jpg

Poor car. It must feel terribly embarrassed to be driven around looking like that. Reminds me of my middle school days and the clothes my mother forced me to wear.

At least it gets fresh air into the cabin

That's a great-looking 986 as it sits, in my opinion. I've been looking for a 987 to add to my "fleet" of one (a 986). It will be white with black wheels and stripe.

Godamnit, can't unsee it now.
Who let that lot out? |
