Why are threads backwards here?

Unlike other forums that start on page one it is quite the opposite here, start with page #9 and back track. When you click on a new thread it goes to the last post not the original post?!#?$!

Any reason for this?

The posts display as you choose. Default is newest first, but you can change that in your settings.

Unlike other forums - this one allows you to choose what order you want to view things in.

It's your settings, not the site. Go to User CP/Settings & Options/Edit Options and scroll down to Thread Display Options. Look at Thread Display Mode. You want "Linear - Oldest First."

I thought it was goofy at first but now I prefer it that way.
