Hardtop off / Evening drive

Today I finally pulled the top off of the silver 99 for the first time. Easier than I thought it would be.

I wasn't sure where to put it, so I set it on a car cover resting on the ground. Then saw my old hound dog giving it a pre-pee sniff.

Hey... here's a good place to set it. D@mn, that doesn't look bad, I just might have to keep the black one now:

Time for a sunset drive to the lake.

This makes #3 and you've got a parts car too?

You're catching me. I'd better step up my game!

How do you like driving w/ the hard top? Other than to inspect everything, I haven't had the tops off my two aero cars. For me, the top gives the car a whole different persona.

Congratulations again on finding a good deal. Silver and red is such a neat color combination on our cars.

Hehe...I may be in the market for another this winter.
The DD Dodge is nearing the end, I fear. Strong motor, but the body is rusting out pretty badly. The boy and I took the sander to it last weekend and found that it was worse than it looked.

I'll drive down to OK and take one off your hands, Rick.

The other day, I was thinking that I might have to put some effort into not being too 'stalker-creepy'. My Telecaster is an '09 Natural Ash and my e24 is Silver. I'm thinking maybe my next car should be a Mini. You don't have one of those already do you?

The hard top does really change the atmosphere of the car. Not cramped at all, but more sheltered and comfortable than the soft top. Definitely going to keep it on one of them.

Do it! With your skill, knowledge, and creative energy, you could pick up a distressed Boxster cheap and really turn it around.

We're just men of adventure with exquisite tastes... aviators, 986 and e24 drivers. Tele players. Our day-to-day is what other men can only dream of.

Here's my '08 Natural Ash Tele and my climate controlled guitar vault. (The spare bedroom) There's just over 100 guitars in the vault, with about 60 of them Telecasters. There's another 10-12 Fender amps in various places. The guitar collection laughs at the Porsche collection.

No Mini. I have to quit messing around and get a Spec Boxster built before I'm too old to be on the track.

I had the same hardtop color thing

When I bought the hardtop it was silver. I liked the look but went ahead and had it matched up. I love the look of the hardtop and with the turbo spoiler it gives it a different look.
