I Love My Car!

Drove 90 miles south today to Columbia, SC to visit with friends. Perfect top-down driving weather - 80 degrees and sunny! Not that I haven't in the past, but I really enjoyed and appreciated the Boxster today.

Had a great conversation in a parking lot (I was riding with friends at this point and didn't have my car) with another 986 owner.

Took my friends out for a spin in the Boxster which they loved (as did I).

Ended the trip with a great top-down night ride back home.

Very sexy car. The contrast between the wheels and deabmbering is nice.

Thanks blinkwatt.

I think the clear corners really cleaned up the look of the car. Removing the internal amber lens on my new litronics was a little unnerving, but worth the trouble in my opinion.

I like the contrast as well between the white exterior/clear lights and the dark wheels.

I absolutely love late night, top down driving experience, especially if I'm driving a good distance on a lonely road.

Y2BOX,

When I look at my avatar it's like that was a totally different car.

RANDALLNEIGHBOUR,

I agree, especially when the temperature is ideal.

Good looking car...sure is a lot of brake dust on those rims. They almost look black.

Rail26,

Thanks...

You would think the dark wheels wouldn't show as much brake dust. I still however have to wash mine often. They have a custom, multi-layered powder-coated finish. When the sun hits them, they have a brilliant flake aspect to them. The brake dust kills the look. Unfortunately it is hard to capture the "sun on the wheels" with my camera.

I was only kidding...just joking about the dark rims. Bad attempt at humor.
