Borla Exhaust Video

Here is my first attempt at a video. Not the greatest audio, but you can get an idea how loud this exhaust is even with bad audio. Takes a few minutes to download and play, so be patient. http://media.putfile.com/Borla-mp4

I wish I could hear that in real life! Definately was loud.

To all the video posters... step up to Google Videos. It's free, and it loads fast.

Thanks for the info Jeph.

I've compressed it to an MP4 file, so it should load faster now. Just signed up for Google video. I'll attached the link once they verified the account. In the meantime, try the first link again to see if it's faster.

The guy whom I bought the muffler from had it only for 2 days and he told me that it was too loud for his taste. It's not my daily driver, so the sound brings sweet music to my ears whenever I drive it.

Nice sound! Wish I could hear in person as well. Do you know if a Borla will fit a 01' 2.7? I've been looking for an exhaust and B&B or Dansk are about the only options I've seen. I have a Borla on my daily (Tundra) and love it.

Check the Borla website. http://www.borla.com/ I think my muffler also fits a 2.7.

A Ruf is probably the best muffler for the Boxster, but I think it cost about 3X more than all the other ones.

Dude, that is loud. Negates the need for a good stereo I guess.

Sounds great. Just installed on on my 04 S. Do you get low rev resonance? (under 2600). Thanks.

There is low rev resonance. Depends how I drive the car. If I press on the gas hard below 3000, there is a lot of resonance. That's the trade off for the sound. However, if this was my daily driver, it would evenually get annoying, especially on slow traffic.

I wasn't going to do the exhaust at first. Instead I ordered a 2nd cat bypass from fabspeed a few weeks back. But then a member from my local Porsche club posted the exhaust and it was only 2 days old! He told me that it was too loud for him, especially for a Tip. Couldn't pass up the offer since it was 1/2 the price new.

I tried to cancel the 2nd cat bypass, but it was too late. Oh well, I let you know how it turns out with both mods on.
