Remember the classic seventies 911 racing stripes?

Your car looks great! Enjoy. That white crap must be suds from washing after you got home.

Beautiful car. Interesting color combo.

Very nice and rare color combo, never seen one like that before.

Thanks for the kind words. I searched for a long time to locate a "unique" color combination. One of my "must haves" was a red interior.

sexy back, was a lucky shot earlier :D |
Done. (still need to figure out a proper DRL solution)
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1463908036.jpg ...and i need that chrome windshield trim sooner or later, for sure. Those "Zunden" chrome bezels (which met my friends "dremel", "file" and "sand paper") are becoming extremely rare. I was lucky enough to find a pair in Japan! |
Nicely done BRAN:cheers:

Interesting to see, that suddenly RETRO becomes "the next big thing"... Look at that awesome handle... http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1462957175.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1462957187.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1462957199.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1462958867.jpg ...well, I have always been ahead of time...with RETRO :D Still considering a similar idea...chrome rubber bumper bands...but have to get my back-up sensors (front&back) and blind-spot sensors (back) installed first. Yeah, that is my next big mod coming...lol |
Project 986 "RETRO" aka the #neverendingone continues...
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1463756027.jpg Those bumpers trims are actually for a Porsche 911 (65-73). First I had to figure out, how to carefully bend them into a 986 shape. I am confident to bring the front bumper into shape as well :D |
All "chrome" (actually polished aluminum) 911 bumpers are finally bent into the 986 shape (only marginally adjustments necessary for final installation).
10 screws front | 8 screws rear. As this step is taken, the next can be done. Finding the best spots for the front and rear parking & blind spot sensors. |
