My first Porsche (but not my last)!
Typical midlife crisis situation. A silver Porsche was my #1 dream car all through my childhood. At 43 I traded in my Nissan truck for a '99 Silver Boxter.
I love looking at it and revel in the joy of driving it so much that I kick myself for waiting so long to join in the Porsche experience! 8 months ownership so far and it has been a rock solid car. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...psa54188bd.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps567d7e7e.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...pse28c7fa1.jpg PS: my posts keep disappearing, so my apologies if a duplicate post suddenly shows up. ;) |
Welcome & Congratulations!! Very nice looking car. Better late than never, I'm glad to see someone finally fulfill the dream of owning a Porsche.
No go out & drive it like you stole it!!!!http://www.986forum.com/forums/images/smilies/cheers.gif |

Thank you very much guys! :)
As sexy as the 2013 Boxster/Cayman is, I still prefer the 986 design. To me it's just simpler and classier. More the essence of a classic Porsche. The term "Permagrin" you guys use is accurate. I've driven other fun cars like Corvettes, Miatas, Triumphs, etc, but nothing has the precision feel that this car has. Every movement is crisp, smooth and in control. In short, it's a keeper! ;) Thanks again for your comments and welcomes. Tim |
