air cooled and lovin' it!
Greetings all,
Just joining in to seek out fellow air cooled enthusiasts to share upgrade tips and compare notes on various topics and tales related to the raw energy of a light-weight, early Porsche that left all the driving and controls totally up to you. Here's my 75 911 with a 1988 "built" motor and many upgrades to suspension and safety. 964 cams, two out, mono-ball and lots more. A true member of the family that I have owned for 32 years and she's better than ever on the road or in a show. I love (almost) all Porsches!! http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1366926973.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1366927459.jpg |
Very cool looking. I wish I was more of a mechanic so I could deal with a classic car like this... Love the stuff on the garage walls too hehe. This is a 986 Boxster forum (which are newer and water cooled), so you'll likely have more luck finding other air-cooled 911 porsche people on other forums be it PelicanParts, Rennlist, or the 6Speed forums...

Love the car and the garage! An air cooled 911 is definitely on my list for some day!

My first love was the aircooled Porsche and it still is today. Having owned all the modern cars except a Cayman I certainly favor the older cars more, because I like a raw vehicle that maintains the simplicity of a Volkswagen.
My daily driver is an 88 Carrera and I am selling my 996 Turbo (600HP) to add an older 930 to the collection of air cooled Porsches. I'll also be finishing my 356 in a couple of weeks and can't wait! |
