Drive it like you stole it!!!

Two things:

1) Coffinhunter is absolutely correct. Do take the motor to near-redline at least a half dozen times every time you have the car out. This may wear the motor a little faster, but it also lubricates every nook and cranny and gets that variocam working fully, which is important for motor health.

2) Your rear tires will wear out awfully fast due to the camber settings. This is normal, and you should budget for a new set of rear tires every 12k miles and a front set every other set of rear tires at the least. Front tire wear has a lot to do with how hard you corner. Note that you do not have to spend $1200+ on Michelins! I run Hankook Ventus V12's and a whole set is less than $600 installed.

That's a beauty. Enjoy it!

PS - Buy some roll bar inserts off eBay. They make the car look a lot better from the back AND they reduce wind when driving top down.

Glad to see another North Texas member! Beautiful color combination! Like the others said, drive it like it is meant to be driven! Besides the roll bar inserts, I also got the plexiglass that goes over the inserts. That makes it much more comfortable when driving like you stole it:D

Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance. I've found an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Read up on the forum on common items such as the IMS, waterpump, MAF, etc.

But most of all, do like the others and drive it like it's stolen!

Welcome to the forum! First off, let me say that is one clean interior! North Texas has a Boxster Enthusiast Club and you'll fit right in. First thing to know? If you do modifications, you'll be hooked!

Very nice -- my favorite color combo -- welcome
