First upgrade

Hey All,

Nothing too crazy here, but wanted to show my first upgrade to my recently purchased 2003 S.
I replaced a fading and stained grey top with a black top from GAHH. I had a professional installer do the job, and the car looks brand new.
The top is a little tight to latch, but not too bad.

Having fun with this car so far. Pondering Black wheels but not sure if I have the guts.

The car looks great. The new top makes it look completely different. I love the wheels. I have always wanted a set of Carrera classics, but could never find any at a good price.

That looks great! I would like to replace my grey top also, mine is looking a bit tired.

Keep the Carreras!

I would echo what Ckrikos said. There are a lot of owners envious of your OEM Carreras, and I'm one of them! If you should decide to sell them, let me know.

The top looks great. I'm restoring my Boxster now and have a new German top with glass window getting installed. I also have new leather for my seats getting installed. Was quoted $600 to install the top and the seat leather.

What did they charge you to install it?

$600 would be a great deal for a top install if its from a reputable place. I can't find anybody that won't it for less than $800 bucks, and most won't offer much warranty if they don't sell the top.

I think I paid about 800 for install. Pricey, but I am not much of a DIY person...other than oil changes and simple maintenance.
