Where did you purchase that spoiler button. I purchased on like that but mine only indicates if the spoiler is working by flashing the LED. The button itself doesnt actually allow me manual access to raise it or lower it

Got it from this guy from Germany on ebay :-
eBay My World - stefan118hydraulik

He does 2 versions one is just an indicator the other is an indicator&switch. Dispatched it quick to me here in Malta. works a treat and fairly easy to install. Can really recommend him.

To be honest not that I raise it manually very often, but at the moment I am in Malta and the island is so small and the roads so bad there are only a couple of places that you can get to 75mph so I have to let it loose once in a while. :D

Love the Lapis Blue color;) I was thinking about the rear spoiler switch also. Where did you get the clear lights for the front/rear? I am also planning to do the OBC mod but will probably do the switch version.

Got the rear lights new from ebay seller shopking3911. The fronts {which have yet to be fitted they are waiting for me back in the UK) I bought from a private seller on ebay.

I have innstalled homemade front grilles, and DIY innstalled a new blue softtop glas window, because the old was leaking, plastic window crack.

Just a question, is the 981 and Boxster S emblem in chrome or titanium finish?

Thanks

The PORSCHE badge is in chrome.

The original (i think) Boxster S is grey/titanium. Some of the paint has been rubbed off (lots of polishing by the previous owners I hope) so I am tempted to buy replacement in chrome, we will see.

Ilikeching, what did you use for your DIY grills? I need to do something about mine.

Hossuk, love the 981 badging also. My emblem is broken by the "B" so eventually need to replace. Yours looks great.

I like the Lapis blue and the oil gauge temp and volt cluster. Reminds of of my old 280zx, that car had nice gauges too.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The project is definitely nearing completion. Cant make up my mind whether to add a rear spoiler. Other than that it'll be changing to sport suspension but I don't think I can justify the expense.

Hi,

the grills was bought in any car styling shop, cut them for fitting and used chrome interior decor list around the grill, and mountet on with small white strips. Stylish, cheap and easy way to protect your radiators.....:)

Grilles

Where'd you get the grilles and how much were they? How do they attach? Thanks!

cardiffgiant 04-22-2013 04:13 PM

Great looking car! I have an S in the same color. I love those grills. I'm going to order a pair from zunsport after I do the radiator cleaning this summer.

They are made by Zunsport.

I was lucky enough to get used from a private seller on ebay... They were immaculate and cost £46.25 ... Equates to approx $70.00.

They are surrounded by a rubber seal ... You push them on then bend a number of metal hooks around the hole to hold them in place .. Very simple and seems secure.

They are available new on uk ebay approx $175 for outer 2 only and $220 for outer plus center for S. Dont know if they deliver to US though.

Also available here Online Car Accessories Shop, Car Parts, Car Aerials, Car Care - Motocare

Hope this helps

PS I didn't go for centre.... A because my number plate surround hides most of it anyway and B heard rumours that they didn't fit well or at all in some cases
