4 year 'Porsche-iversary'

Today marks 4 years of Boxster ownership for me, and I have enjoyed all 48,000 miles I have managed to put on during the short Minnesota driving seasons. This morning I went to the local Cars & Cafe' event and despite persistent light rain, there was a great turn out. We had at least 30 Porsches, a number of Ferraris and Lamborghinis, GT40s, Corvettes, etc. Here is a picture of my Boxster after a few people started leaving.

I'll also attach a picture from right after I bought it and the same angle last summer to show what a few mods can do,,, I like the stock Boxsters, but I love my mods.
Thanks to everyone on this forum that have helped me with any questions I have had on mods or repairs. I look forward to many more years and miles!

Wow! De-Amberizing shaved years off the car! Those orange lights are a really bad look. It looks sweet now! Nice mods!

Why is everyone wearing so many layers in that first pic of yours? It was 91 down in Pensacola today... ;)

Sure, rub it in :)
We actually have a pretty warm Spring so far with a few days in the 80s as early as March. Temp was not bad Saturday, just a very light rain that ended 10 minutes after I left.
I always laugh (to myself) at people I see in Florida wearing jackets if it is 70 degrees when I have been there in March. We are wearing shorts at that temp!

I miss living in OR. 'Cause not only is it in the 90s here in AL, but the humidity is also in the 90s. ;)

What skirts and front bumper are you running?

Since I bought the car 4 years ago, I found great deals the OEM AerokitII side skirts and front bumper w/splitter on Ebay. On the back, I added the non-OEM rear diffusers and 'Cayman style' spoiler, and the painted bumperettes. Along with the 18" Carrera Lightwieght-style wheels, Litronics and complete de-amberization, I think the car looks much more aggressive. I have the ROW M030 suspension ready to install this Spring.

amazing what a little de-ambering will do. I wonder when will amber come back in style lol

+1 on the de-amberization.

Nice! I've been meaning to get out to c&c one of these days, but my wife likes to sleep in too much. Maybe I'll just ditch her and check it out next month. Maybe I'll see you there

I have gone by myself a few times for the same reason. You have to get there early (not long after 7am) unless you want to leave the Boxster in the parking area, but it has always been an interesting mix of cars (and garages!). I don't think I will make it in July, but hopefully August. Be sure to check it out. There were hundereds of cars in May, even with the light rain.

May I suggest adding the colored crest on the wheels? It adds a bit of color to the car. Painting the calipers also help.

Do you mind telling me how you went about the de-amber process? I have a '99 bioxster and I would like to do the same. Mainly I am interested in the source for the headlights. thanks.
