My 21st birthday present

.....my birthday present to myself that is :p

Picked this up the day of my 21st when I lived in California in '08, joined this forum in '10 but just started posting, hoping to be active :)

1997 Boxster 2.5L 115k on it when I bought it ~150k on it now (that's with 3 round trips from California to Michigan)

It's all stock right now, and still needs some work done (convertible top is broke, seats need to either be redone or new) and there some mods I'd like to do, so as I get money I'm slowly getting them done lol.

A JL Audio W3 8" I had custom fit for the passenger floor (doesn't take up as much room as it looks like it does in this pic), it has a black grill covering it now

And the Alpine amp that I replaced the stock one with

Welcome to the Forum. Its a great place to learn and share about our cars. I've had my 2001 since last Christmas. The original owner installed a similar woofer as you have. It takes about 4 inches of legroom from the passenger side, but since I never sit on that side, it has not been a problem. It sure is effective though. It is a part of an aftermarket Pioneer nav system.

Nice color car .. just wondering .. if you have tall passengers .. how does that work ?

My wife is 5-10 and doesn't have any problems. My son-in-law is 6-3 and its a little cramped but doable for short trips. I wouldn't suggest riding in the passenger seat from Florida to Michigan though. Its not my daily driver so its never been a real issue.
