Welcome to the Forum!

Nice looking Boxster, wizzel. I like the wheels. Are you running spacers? If not what are the offsets?

Not sure about the offset but no spacers. However, the back right was rubbing the strut tower so they had to shave off 1/8in in order to get it on. Won't be rotating these:

those wheels look amazing on that car!

Love the wheels and the color! I am thinking about replacing my silver turbo's with a black wheel too.

Why did they have to shave off on one side only? Sounds like something is wrong with alignment? Just speculating but this doesn't sound right. Someone correct or explain this to me.

wizzel 01-25-2012 04:16 AM

The wheel was scraping the strut tower on the back right only. Would lead one to think perhaps the car has been badly wrecked but all indications are that that isn't the case. No idea what else could have been done. The store manager was involved and while he's no Porsche expert he didn't know of another solution, at least a low cost one anyhow. Wheels are wider and lighter than factory and the tires of course grip great.

Thanks. Those are some nice wheels and are the ones I'm also looking at. What size did you get? 18x8 front and 18x10 rear?

wizzel 02-17-2012 02:19 PM

Yes, I believe those numbers are the correct size. Tires on front are 225/40/18ZR and rear are 275/35/18ZR's. I would have to say, having black wheels makes brake dust a non-issue :)

Hi,Itīs a personal opinion.
The correct size front itīs ok 225/40/18 but rear the correct size is 265/35/18 not 275. In the documents of the car is 255/40/17 or 265/35/18.

I wait be of usefulness.;)
