changing colors on my top

Anyone of a pic of a dark blue (midnight blue mettalic) boxster with a black or dark grey top? My came with the light blue one and I really don't like it. Thinking about dyeing it some other color. Anyone with any experience with this? thanks much !

Check with Leatherique.com and see if he does more then leather. I dyed my seats and it worked great. The owner might some ideas if he doesn't have any products.

Try the Configurator on Porsche.com. It's a 987, but I believe they let you select top color, and preview it- should give you a decent idea.

Seats and top dying are two radically different things. I doubt you'ld like the results. I've seen a dark blue with grey top and it looked great. Do an image search on google, spend some time and you'll find most combinations.

I read on this forum where someone used RIT to dye the top. Check the search function

There used to be a great resource under "Yoseif's Boxster Gallery", but the link seems to be dead now...

However, I have seem some pics and it does look good :) Were I to replace my top I would likely go with grey, as I don't care for a blue top on a blue car.

Houster, may be you'd be interested in a trade. can you post a pic of your top? What year is your car. I have a blue boxster s, with black top, and I'd much rather have a blue top. but not too light. let me know what you got. Here's a picture of mine

CVstarboxster, your 03 top may not fit on Houstoer's car if it's not an 03 or 04...

You CAN put a 2003 top on a 1997 to 2002 if it is a complete top/frame swap (I put a 2004 OEM top/frame on my 2002 in order to get the glass rear window), but I certainly would not want to put an older top on a 2003 and loose the glass. If both cars are 2003-2004, the trade may work out.

Appreciate the offer; since posting this I have compared one in black along side mine and realize I like the blue better. Sorry :(
