convertible top does not operate-help!!!
 

my convertible top stopped operating. i have a 1999 boxster. parking light switch is illuminated in the dash & all fuses are ok. it was operating ok although sometimes i nhad to try a few times... what do i need to do next? please help!!

I also had this problem with my 99 Boxster, turned out to be the convertible top latch microswitch where the dome light is. to test it, id put a knife's blade in the switch to make the contact, if it causes your top to move, its the switch. through pelican parts youre looking at a small 40 part.

in the meantime i had to revert the top to manual operation as per the owners manual. how can i put it back on power operation so that i can check what you suggested? any help would be very much appreciated.
