I am also looking to go with a very aggressive wheel setup in the near future and was wondering what is the widest wheels I can run with fender rolling and without? I am leaning towards front: 18x9 and rear: 18x10.5 Im not sure on the offsets. What is the lowest offset we can run to get the most lip? Thanks |
5 spokes ADV.1 style wheels (19" ET40 F&R). Front are flush to the fender, however I've added 15mm spacers on the back.

Hey,
the best combination is 8.5 and 10.5 offset35 in front and rear, maybe you must need the rear fender rolling a little bit. Quote:

Does anyone out there have a photo of Boxster S II wheels on a 986? I'm curious to see if they look too busy or not.

Nothing fancy. !8" from a 993 wide body. 8" of rubber in the front and 10" in the rear, bolted right up with no spacers needed.

Sorry but you just can't beat 18' turbo twists. |
Haven't put these on yet as the car is stored for winter, but can't wait to see these mounted.

Some very nice boxsters in here! I recently got wheels from a company on Amazon.com for a pretty good price and got somewhat of a deep look with chrome lip on the back and shallower up front also chrome lip. I was hesitant to do chrome but with tbethe wheel shape it reflects the black inner portion very well. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1424544733.jpg

Kinesis K28 wheels. I had these installed at the dealership when I purchased the car new in 2001. Have always loved them but am considering having them powder-coated black and keeping the rims polished.....after 14 years, a new look might be good!

I think they were within a pound or two each compared to stock wheels. The tires might weigh a little more as well but its pretty negligible. |
