Nice.

Can you tell us about those rims?

gikser 03-14-2011 07:48 PM

sure they are 20x10 in the rear and 20x8.5 in the front they are forged modulare m3's they wer originally 20x11 in the rear being they came off a 997 but ichanged out the inner barrels to make them fit.

They look good. Guys who mention running 20's on a Boxster usually seem to get run off with a stick!

RandallNeighbour 03-15-2011 08:14 AM

They do look really good. I'm betting the ride suffers though, huh?

gikser 03-15-2011 09:43 AM

The ride is what it is. I live in jersey so even if i kept stock wheels the ride would suck. So might as well look good at suffering. Lol. And as far as being run off for putting 20's on a porsche oh well to each his own. I dont knock anyones opinion or styling choices.

My bet is that if this is your daily driver, you'll be wishing you had 17's or 18's on the car within a year. 20 inch rubber is expensive and the rears typically wear out in under 10,000 miles.

But you'll look good, that's for sure! (and I'm not saying that poking at you. Those rims look amazing on your car and I love the look).

Thanks but ur right its not my daily driver i have a mercedes e500 wagon on 20's also as my daily driver.

Yes. The rims are great.

BTW I ordered the S with 18" Cayman S II wheels for two reasons:
I thought would ride a little better (not tracking the car)
Protection against chuckholes.

Welcome! I see you got smoked side lights and clear head lights...are they litronics? What year is it and mileage?

gikser 03-16-2011 05:06 AM

Its a 2000 s with 90k and yes they are litronics. I took them apart and blacked out the housings and added hids to the fog lights and highbeams-BRIGHT!! lol
