New 19" SSR GT3's

New to this forum. Here's my ride w/ my new wheels!

1Bad 986 05-10-2005 05:05 PM

Wow! How do I make the pictures smaller?

kajita 05-11-2005 09:42 AM

kudos,
we have the same wheels!!

Perfectlap 05-11-2005 09:59 AM

nice. how much do those 19" weigh?

RandallNeighbour 05-11-2005 10:39 AM

You will have to use some sort of photo image program to resize them. Check the disks that came with your digital camera for tryout versions of Photoshop.

About your 19's: What kind of spacers did you have to use to prevent rubbing, or do you have some rubbing on the front wheels?

kajita 05-11-2005 10:52 AM

the wheels are super super light. i dont know the exact weight though.
no spacers were needed. the rear off set was like 47 mm, and i think the front was 54mm. 19x8.5 and 19x9.5.
first i had them put it on and the car look weird. there was too big of a gap in the well. so i installed eibach springs and it drop the car about 1.3 inches. no rubbing and drives smoother and tighter.

Hey, can you remember to tell us how long your rubber lasts on this first set of tires?

I've heard larger rims and a lowered suspension really takes it's toll on tires and they wear out quickly. I would love to know how many miles you get out of this first set of tires and under what conditions you drove (not just weather, but how hard you drove, cornered, accelerated, etc.)

How many miles do you hope to get out of this set of tires anyway?

SSR GT-3 = teh hot. :D

I might get a set. But I'm going to stick with 18's.

I just got the wheels shipped to me. So I know they were less than 30lbs ea with the tires on them! Very light! Mine are 19x8.5, and 19x10. I did require 6mm spacers on the rear to clear the coilovers.

kajita 05-11-2005 02:12 PM

i got dunlops on right now and they are pretty sticky. never spun out or anything like that. the wheelenhancement people said it will last about 25 to 30k miles. i put about half of that in a year. but they also recommend that if i dont drive to hard, which i dont, i should get the falken (i know i know, easy there guys) and it should last a lot longer (its zr rated and about 150 a piece).

Your car looks bad A$$!

Congrats on the new shoes.

WHere did you get them?

About how much? PM me if you could

With the Top UP, is there any bad resonance from the tires?

Thanks,

KRZ

Regarding the picture size, resize it to 400by 600 and it will not blow our eyes out of our sockets!!!
