Pretty car. You don't see many white Boxsters!

phrankandbeanz 04-19-2005 05:56 PM

agreed, not too many white boxsters and that one is gorgeous

FUHRIUS 04-19-2005 07:45 PM

I like the white too...

but I'm biased.

on a random note: what a beautiful day it was here in NorCal for owning a boxster of any color...

Perfectlap 04-22-2005 08:36 AM

wait are you the highschool kid?
If so congrats on not only having a nicer car than most old guys can ever dream of owning but congrats on racing it as well.
I wish more young people would take part in organized racing instead of speeding aroun my neighbohrhood.

rapture 04-22-2005 02:20 PM

well i was a highschool kid, now im a freshmen in college, same thing i guess..

i autocross it everynow and then, too bad tires are $1200 for a set, so i only get to do it every now and then, but its a blast

College and a Sports Car! Ah, takes me back a bit, to my days with a 1967 MGB. No Boxster but it WAS fun!

Best of luck with the new ride!

FUHRIUS 04-22-2005 02:52 PM

a few years back for me too...

but I was sporting a 1969 Ford Galaxy XL convertible at the time...fire engine red with a 429cid cobra jet motor nicknamed, appropriately, the BRTD (Big Red Thirsty Devil).

Brucelee 04-22-2005 04:08 PM

If memory serves me, my B has 1600cc and 96HP!!!!!!!!!!!

But it got 32 MPG WHEN it was running!

FUHRIUS 04-22-2005 07:45 PM

at some level...

if the top comes off (and, even better, goes back on), it's a great car for any age.

Where did you get that perfomance measuring device on the side of your door? They provide that for you at the event?

rapture 04-23-2005 09:22 AM

it's a camera mount, i just suction cupped it on there and put my video camera on reached over the door to turn it on right before my run

Adam 04-23-2005 10:20 AM

Oh, I see that's cool little deal. It looks like one of those expensive devices professional testers use for measuring stuff like lateral g's and 0-60's lol. I bet you have some neat footage especially if you take the car to bigger tracks where you can follow and overtake other cars. Are you trading in your current ride for the 06 S or are you selling privately? How many miles do you have on your 03 S? I got my car in my last semester of college so I can relate to your situation. I think I'll stick with this one though. We are two very lucky guys!

Perfectlap 04-25-2005 01:26 PM

ha! a freshmen in college!
no need to join the Frat, you have the chick magnet without pledging!

Boy i'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of someone born in 1986 driving a Porsche already...

Adam 04-25-2005 02:06 PM

lol, he must have gotten straight A's in highschool. I'm envious because he's about to get the holy grail of all boxsters too!! 06 987 S.
