finally got around to painting the front radiator grills.

I like it!!! Good job. I've been thinking about doing the same to mine. They're really faded and chalky looking. So.....DETAILS!!! How do they come out ( or did you leave them in and mask off everything?). What paint? etc etc

take the bumper off
they just snap out
paint
snap in
replace bumper

I did mine as well. All I had to do was mask around the grilles in front with blue masking tape. I went over the edges with the tape and used a razor blade for the excess tape. I made sure to use FLAT BLACK paint so that anything behind the grilles got a fresh coat as well.

Really easy to do and makes the front end look GR8 instantly.

Either way you do it (bumper removal or tape job) its worth it.

when I had a small fender bender recently, which required the front bumper cover to be removed/repainted - i got the body shop to repaint these - just like yours - for free. Not bad!

looks much nicer than the old "silvery" worn finish....

now I just need my headlights clear!!!
