My other porsche 70 s boxster 72 914

Just got done restoring my 72 914 with the 2.0 alway wanted one of these since the late 80's,I have had 944s and 911s never a 914 ,I did a lot of the work my self ,this car was a honda green when I got it,this was a california car so not almost no rust , we put it back to the orignal signal orange color, new interior etc ,lots of stuff from auto atlanta ,I love this car ,it looks great in my garage next to my 98 boxster ,its funny a few books and magazines I have call these cars the 70s boxster they are a lot a like in a lot of ways and a lot of fun

Yeah, that's exactly how I described the 914 to my girl, I told her it's basically a 1970's Boxster. I just picked up a 1972 with 2.0L engine myself. Fun car! I like the fact that the car has character. I could have bought a Miata for the same money but gawd, how boring! Now I'm just having fun working on the carbs and trying to tune out a little carb pop that I've got. It's work, but it's the kind of work that I really enjoy. Is yours still fuel injected or has it also been converted to carbs?

When I restored it I tryed to put everthing back to orignal or close , Mine still has the orignal fuel injection on it ,it does have a K&N and a performance exhaust on it ,and riviera wheels ,also the car has the orignal tail shifter tranny ,In 73 they went to side shift much nicer ,this motor is out of a 72 they never made a 2.0 in 72 ,everybody I talk to says the fuel injection is the way to go ,they say do not change it out to carbs ,they say the fuel injection works better I have never had a problem with it ,here is another photo ,yours looks real nice also ialways liked the ones with the body kits on them

nice to see results of your restoration, you should be proud.
I was lucky enough to find some nice ones and then improve from there. My blue one -a 74-was a barn find at 50,000 miles and has been through some repairs and is great to drive. The green is a 73 and the red a 75.
But the thrill of the S going 0 to ??? is great.

I've always had a soft spot for 914s and those are great examples. My one and only '14 was a 1974 2.0, black on black; great car. Somewhere I have some old photos of her.
