I assume you mean tinting the yellow turn signals... "Gary in BR" has done this to his car with a nice outcome. You might want to search for his posts on this board to find more photos. Like this post:

And this one:

I've attached a pic of some that I think were for sale on eBay. This is more of what I did. I tried film tinting my turn signals - didn't look good. I tried spray tint and didn't care for that either. Finally I found a good deal on some litronics and got those. No regrets with that decision.

Tinted headlights

Actually I meant the headlight area I put in 50 percent brighter bulbs to compensate for the tint is it illegal?

Illegal? In the communist state of California? Yes, no question it would be illegal to tint your headlights in California. I'm not sure if a cop would ticket you during the daytime though. At night you'd be hosed, but probably only if the cop pulled you over for something else.

Correct, that's a GT2 front end. I'm not sure if it really looks JDM or if it's the carbon fiber hood that makes it look that way. The owner of that car, Danny, has been trying to sell it for some time if you're interested. I've got tons of photos of his car too if you want more. He's done some very nice mods IMHO.

I had mine tinted and overall I am pleased. I wish they were a little darker.

I understand you specifically mentioned tint but if you decide to go down the route of having them painted, here is a point of reference.
