We're in the middle of 2000 miles of mostly 2 lane hwy ... this was yesterday, on CA Hwy 36 near Red Bluff.

If your heading southwest keeping going to Leggett, Ca. where you can find a great twisty road to the coast - hope your passenger has a strong stomach.

My wife is AWESOME as a passenger. She's ridden with me at enough autocrosses in my MR2 that she knows what 10/10ths is, so she doesn't complain about 8/10ths on a drive like this.

I had a CEL all day yesterday, came on as soon as I fired it up in the morning. Hooked up the durametric last night, and the secondary O2 sensor on one bank was complaining. I cleared the codes, and drove 370 miles today without them coming back. So either it was a glitch, or the sensor is in the early stages of it's death throes.

This turned out to be ~2400 miles total. The car is covered in dead bugs, probably the dirtiest it's ever been. Going to wash it when it cools off a bit tonight.

I have to highly recommend Ore Hwy 229 (The Siletz River Hwy) from Toledo on Ore 20 to the coast at US 101 to anybody in the NW. Awesome road.

On this trip, I discovered an unwritten redneck law. When somebody in a sports car pulls out to pass your pick-em-up truck on a two lane, apparently you're supposed to floor it. Not that it did them any good.
