My new ride

Well I finally got some pics of the new ride. I was never much of a fan of convertibles.... i guess I just never drove the right ones, until now. I cruised home with the top down despite threatening clouds. I am more that thrilled with the 987 and think I got a killer deal. This weekend I will be doing a full concours detail and continue fiddling with things.

Now for the pics!

nice 944boy!, time to mod...

congrats.

you can start with very cheap and effective mods such as removing the front license plate frame and put in bumper plugs.

get clear corners

then save up for some wheels, and lower it slightly and watch look fabulous

I would like to not run a front plate, but I have not gotten a feel of how long it would take me to get pulled over around here. They seem fairly strict.

I would be keen on some 18" 5-spoke Carrera's but I am also fond of *cheap* tires for the 17's for the amount I plan on driving it.

As for lowering it, I have enough trouble in the 944 with speed bumps, I don't want that in the Boxster. Granted the 944 has maybe 3" of ground clearance.... maybe....

Congratulations!

Congratulations and best wishes with the new car. My suggestion for the first thing would be a wind-stop and the roll-hoop inserts.

Have fun with the new car and give us updates on how you are enjoying it.
