Rain clouds in LA
Strange and unusual. Didn't have time to get something really fancy, but tried taking a few and stylizing them a bit...

Very nice! One of the reasons why i dont deamber my Lits is because i love the "something extra" that orange blotch behind the lense seems to give.

nice pic.
is that hdr? contrast is great. can you tell us a little more about your settings and/or techniques? thanks |
awesome pic

Shot with a Canon 10D, 17-40mm lens. Don't remember the exact settings.
It's not HDR, but I shot 3 exposures and mixed and matched in photoshop. I used the blending from the darker cloud explosure and the brighter car exposure to kinda vignette the car a little. I LOVE bracketing:) -David |
Getting pix to show up in posts has everything to do with two key components:
1) File size. Keep it smaller than you think. I believe it has a 250k limit or something puny. 2) File type. Save it as a jpg and you can't go wrong. The pop up screen to attach images can be persnickety too. you must select an image, upload it, WAIT for it to fully upload and refresh the screen showing the file, then click the button at the bottom of the pop up and it will then show up. Hope this helps. Keep shooting and posting. My desktop is looking great today :) |
I love the pic. It looks like it could be on a poster or in an advertisement.

is this shot in santa monica?
|
No, this is in Marina Del Rey right off Lincoln. Just happened to be really interesting weather, and I know the top floor of the parking structure is usually empty. Santa monica is probably more picturesque, but hey, you do what you can do.

the syntax for attaching images so that they will show is - remove the *'s as I put them in so you can see the text instead of the image.... :) .... the line should also be continuous with no spaces Also, notice the slashes, your initial ones after http: in your post are backslashes \\ instead of forward // I would also suggest resizing the image down a bit. The image's present dimensions are 2048x1072, maybe try a constrained resize at 1024 max width to prevent the need to scroll the image. Hope this helps. Very nice photograph. |
Nice pic David! I think that would look great as a new avatar!
